Mangaluru: Negligence of Mangaluru prison authorities came to the fore when two accused were released from Mangaluru Central Jail, without getting prior bail or parole.  

Those released are Shivaji and Jagadish, accused in the Kadri Rohit Kotian murder case which took place on May 15, 2016 near Bijai KSRTC.

It has been learnt that jailors, with the permission of the jail superintendent, released the duo when they confused a court order to be duo's bail order.  

Happy with this, the accused left went home and thanked their lawyer. Surprised with this the laywer he brought the matter to the notice of the court.

Later the jail authorities rushed to the doorsteps of the accused and arrested them again.

Ahmedabad (PTI): Shubman Gill led from the front with a classy 86 as Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets in an Indian Premier League match here on Friday.

Earlier, KKR all-rounder Cameron Green produced a fighting 79 off 55 balls to lift his side to 180 all out. In reply, Gill anchored the chase with a composed 86 off 50 deliveries as GT crossed the line in 19.4 overs.

The win marked GT's third successive victory after opening with two losses, while KKR's search for their first win of the season continues.
