Mangaluru: Police on Sunday morning arrested seven people and seized 1.1 kg Ganja from them. The accused were allegedly selling Ganja in Permannuru village under Ullal Police Station limits.

The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammed Sinan P (21) of Calicut, Hafiz Ameen (21) of Trishur, Kerala, Zuhair KP of Kannur, Adarsh MM (20) of Calicut, Mohammed Nihal RK, Bishrulhafi (20) and Zakir Ali residents of Kozhikode in Kerala.

The operation was carried out by personnel of Ullal Police Station along with Anti-Rowdy Squad. The raiding team seized Bullet bike, Mobile Phones and cash from the accused apart from 1.1 kg of Ganja.

Dubai: Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms have struck the United Arab Emirates (UAE) once again, leading to the cancellation of flights and the closure of schools and offices. Parks and beaches are off-limits, and several airlines are experiencing delays and disruptions due to the inclement weather.

The UAE's Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Friday as heavy rains and thunderstorms persist throughout the week.

In response to the adverse weather conditions, authorities have advised people and students to work and study from home. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has directed all private schools, nurseries, and universities to switch to distance learning. Dubai's government has also implemented work-from-home arrangements for employees on May 2nd and 3rd, while parks and beaches remain closed.
