Mangaluru: The Pandeshwar Police have arrested three individuals, identified as Dayan, Afnan, and Salman, in connection with the abduction and brutal assault of three students from a private college.

The incident reportedly occurred near a mall in Pandeshwar on August 19, and the arrested individuals have been remanded to judicial custody, said the police.

The altercation arouse from a dispute over a football match held at Nehru Maidan on August 14. The alleged kidnapping was led by anger from the August 14 altercation.

According to the Police, the group abducted the three minor students, stripped them naked, and subjected them to a brutal assault, forcing them to apologize. The attackers recorded the assault on their mobile phones and shared the footage on social media, which led to the incident coming to light.

Following the revelation, the Pandeshwar police launched an investigation and arrested Dayan, Afnan, and Salman. Additionally, the police have also stated that other individuals, including minors involved in the crime, will be arrested soon.
