Mangaluru: West Bengal Police on Saturday arrived in the Dakshina Kannada district and arrested one person here in connection with a cyber-crime. A complaint in this report was registered in Kolkata, reports said.
The arrested person has been identified as Sanjay Krishna, who was reportedly running a trading business here.
According to reports, Sanjay has been arrested for allegedly creating a fake social media account in the name of a Bengal girl currently staying in Bengaluru. The girl reportedly had filed a complaint with Kolkata Police, which arrived in the city on Saturday and arrested Sanjay.

Mangaluru: Fourteen Rama Sena activists, including their leader Prasad Attavar, have been remanded to two weeks of judicial custody following their involvement in the vandalism of Colors Unisex Salon near Bejai here on Thursday.
The activists reportedly stormed into the salon, alleging that immoral activities were taking place on the premises. They caused significant damage by breaking furniture, while also assaulting, insulting, and verbally abusing the staff before fleeing the scene.

Barke police arrested all 14 individuals, including Prasad Attavar. Following their arrest, the accused were presented before the court on Friday, and the court issued a judicial custody to the accused.
