Mangaluru, November 25: A marathon, organized to mark the Multi-Organs Donations Day, by the district unit of the Indian Medical Association, Mangaluru Specialist Doctors Federation, District Working Journalists Association, Like-minded organizations, religious leaders, the district administration and various hospitals of the city, was held here on Sunday morning.
November 27 is being observed as the Multi-Organs Donation Day across the globe. In view of this, the marathon was organized to educate the people. The organizers appealed the people to light the green lights or make green decoration in front of their shops, houses and offices on November 25, 26 and 27 and create awareness.
IMA district unit president Dr Annaiah Kulal, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, former MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik, journalists association district president Srinivas Nayak Indaje and others were present.

Dubai/Abu Dhabi: Residents and visitors across the United Arab Emirates received a fresh emergency alert on their mobile phones stating that the situation in the country is currently safe.
The message, issued by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), thanked people for their cooperation and reassured them that conditions were stable.
“Thank you for your cooperation. We reassure you that the situation is currently safe. You may resume your normal activities while continuing to remain cautious and take the necessary precautions, and to follow official instructions. (MOI),” the alert read.
The notification was sent in both Arabic and English through the country’s emergency alert system.
The advisory comes after earlier alerts warning of potential missile threats amid rising regional tensions. Authorities have urged the public to stay cautious and follow official guidance.
