Udupi, Aug 04: Dr.Madhavi Bhandari of Udupi and Dr.Siddalinga Pattanashetty have been selected from Karnataka to participate in the 11th International Hindi Conference that will be held at Mauritius from August 18 to 20.
A delegation led by Union Minister of State for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj will attend the conference that is being held at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Center in Mauritius. The main topic of this year’s conference, which is being held in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Mauritius Government, is ‘Vaishvik Hindi aur Bhartiya Sanskriti’.
The delegation will start from New Delhi on the night of August 16 and arrive Mauritius on 18th morning. It will return from there on August 21, a release said.

Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Thursday greeted people of the state on the eve of Kannada Rajyotsava.
He called upon people to cherish the cultural heritage of the state.
"Heartfelt greetings to everyone on Kannada Rajyotsava. As we celebrate Karnataka's unification on this November 1st, let us cherish the rich cultural heritage of our state," Gehlot said in a statement.
"Today, we honour the visionaries who devoted themselves to Karnataka's unity and prosperity. May their legacy inspire us to promote unity, brotherhood, and social harmony as we work together for the progress of our beloved Karnataka."
