Mega Blood Donation Camp by JCI Mangaluru
Mangaluru: On the occasion of blood donors day, JCI Mangalore and Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India ) Mangaluru Centre organised a "Mega Blood Donation Camp" at KMC Jyothi Blood Bank on 14th June 2018.
It was Inaugurated by Jc. Anil Kumar, Past National Executive Vice President, JCI India by first donating the blood. 72 donors donated Blood on this occasion which amounts to 91 units of blood.
A Mega Blood Donation Awareness Bike Rally from Bhatkal to Mangaluru coordinated by Jc.Sunil Bangera concluded at 5:00 PM at the venue. Jc Rakesh Kunjoor, Zone president, Zone XV spoke about the importance of blood donation.
Jc.Shylaja Rao, President of JCI Mangaluru thanked everyone for donating blood voluntarily. Anil Sabastin, President, Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, Mr.Bhavani Shankar, Blood Bank Manager, KMC Jyothi were present. JC Shwetha, Secretary of JCI Mangalore proposed vote of thanks. Members of JCI Mangaluru and Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India ), Mangaluru Centre were present.

Body of man in Kalaburagi found hanging in his field; cause of death unknown
Kalaburagi: A man was found dead, with his body seen hanging, in his own field in Hulasaguda village of Kalagi taluk on Saturday morning. The cause for death is unknown as yet.
The deceased, identified as Revanasiddhappa Shettappa (26), is learned to have been a resident of Hulasaguda village.
Ratkal Police Sub-inspector Sheela Devi reportedly visited the spot where the man’s body was found and inspected it.
Police have registered a case in this regard and are probing the death of the Shettappa.
