Belthangady: One person died and nine others were injured as a mini bus toppled on a curve along the Charmadi Ghat stretch in the taluk on Saturday.

The brakes of the vehicle reportedly failed at the ninth curve of the Ghat road in Belthangady taluk.

The mini bus, traveling from Malenahalli in Bhadravathi, Shivamogga district, was carrying 10 passengers, including three children. Nine of 13 members of a family are learned to have been seriously injured, while Shekharappa (59), a resident of Malenahalli died in the accident.

The injured passengers are being treated at a local hospital.

A team led by Traffic Sub-inspector Kishor P of Belthangady Traffic Police station visited the accident site.

New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.

"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.

The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
