Mangaluru: Urban Development Minister U T Khader ruled himself out as a possible candidate for the LS Elections due later this year. He was addressing reporters here on Thursday 28 Feb.

Addressing the reporters that the party high command will decide on the candidates for the LS elections and that names were being discussed but nobody’s name was finalized as yet.

“We will work as per the directions sent out from the party high command” he added.

He further termed senior Congress leaders Oscar Fernandez, Janardhan Poojary and Veerappa Moily as the ‘ideal leaders’ for having an unbiased and spotless political career. He also named B Ramanath Rai, Vinay Kumar Sorake among ideal leaders.

He further said that work for Sea Erosion retention wall at Mujjchheri-Someshwara-Uchhila-Talapady coastline will start from March.

He also informed that the deadline for having property cards was further extended for three months while also adding that steps are being taken to clear technical snags in the system.

Hyderabad (PTI): Nitish Kumar Reddy and Eshan Malinga shared five wickets between them as hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs in their IPL match here on Saturday.

Defending 195, Hyderabad restricted struggling CSK to 184 for eight. CSK have crashed to fourth defeat in six matches.

Abhishek Sharma (59) and Heinrich Klaasen (59) took CSK to 194 for nine with their splendid batting. For CSK, Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj picked up three wickets apiece while Mukesh Choudhary bagged two.
