Bantwal: While senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary was unable to win from D.K district, it will not be possible for Mithun Rai to register the victory, who from no angle can come close to Janardhan Poojary, stated Harikrishna Bantwal.

He was speaking to Varthabharathi about the BJP' pre-poll-preparation in Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.

D.K district is a constituency where Billawa Community exists in a large number. Congress leader Janardhan Poojary, who has experience in education, politics, and social service; has not been able to defeat BJP. In such circumstances, will people vote for Mithun Rai, who has nothing? Mithun Rai's victory in the district is an unobtainable dream, and Mithun Rai will never become equivalent to Janardhan Poojary. People will not vote Mithun Rai, Harikrishna confidently said.

Victory with 2 lakh margin

As the first round of the campaign was completed, we are beginning the second round in which we will visit every home. We have appointed booth leaders at every booth. At booths, I am starting campaigning at 7 am. Election strategy has been created to win with 2 lakh votes this time. There is no disruption to the BJP's win in the district. DK Congress was never a competitor for BJP in the district. Congress position is negligible here, he opined.

Internal disputes of Congress is our plus point

The election campaigns conducted by the Congress in the previous assembly elections are not seen during the Lok Sabha elections. Also, groupism, internal conflicts in the Congress, are plus points for us.

People will not vote looking at age

In the district where Congress had 7 MLAs, BJP won with only one MLA. Now it is entirely contrasted. The BJP has 7 MLAs, and the Congress has only one MLA, with that we have no barrier to winning here. People of the district will not see the age and cast while casting vote. Even though Nalin Kumar Kateel is 50-year-old, it is not a concern. This time, people have decided to vote for Narendra Modi.

Congress is allergic to Saffron shawl

Earlier, the Congress was allergic to saffron. Now it is putting saffron shawl to play Hindutva drama. Why this drama sir? If they come with saffron shawl during campaigning, people are not fools to vote. Mithun Rai has not come from Kashmir or Delhi. People know about him.

Congress plays dynasty, caste politics

Using secular ideology, Congress is playing caste and dynasty politics. Congress, JDS are dynasty political parties. If there are national parties in the country, it is the BJP and the Communist party.  Now, people have come to the point of rejecting caste and dynasty politics. Genealogy is still unpredictable. This cannot be one country. This time, people will be giving a big blow to dynasty and politics through elections.

Congress used Muslims as a vote bank

In the district, 30% of the Muslims are supporting BJP and promised to vote us. Among them, the number of Muslim women is more. Congress has used Muslims as a vote bank, but it is not allowing the community to grow politically. The Lok Sabha election is a witness for that. Congress has only used Muslims as a vote bank. Congress has split the Hindu-Muslims to get political mileage. "Educated Muslims are completely with BJP." The BJP has never used Muslims as a vote bank. Narendra Modi is not anti-Muslim. Then it was Mahatma Gandhi, and today it is Narendra Modi. Both are Gujaratis.

Narendra Modi has not made a single statement against Muslims. He has worked hard for the prosperity of Muslims. Modi intends to seek an India of Hindu, Muslim, and Christian. This time the Congress's vote will come to the BJP and not BJP vote will go to the Congress. This is a hundred percent true. Wait for election results.

In 2019, by becoming Prime Minister once again, PM Narendra Modi will fulfill Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's wish of India transforming as a universal leader in 2020.

Panaji (PTI): As part of a crackdown against tourist establishments violating laws and safety norms in the aftermath of the Arpora fire tragedy, Goa authorities on Saturday sealed a renowned club at Vagator and revoked the fire department NOC of another club.

Cafe CO2 Goa, located on a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea at Vagator beach in North Goa, was sealed. The move came two days after Goya Club, also in Vagator, was shut down for alleged violations of rules.

Elsewhere, campaigning for local body polls, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said the fire incident at Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub at Arpora, which claimed 25 lives on December 6, happened because the BJP government in the state was corrupt.

An inspection of Cafe CO2 Goa by a state government-appointed team revealed that the establishment, with a seating capacity of 250, did not possess a no-objection certificate (NOC) of the Fire and Emergency Services Department. The club, which sits atop Ozrant Cliff, also did not have structural stability, the team found.

The Fire and Emergency Services on Saturday also revoked the NOC issued to Diaz Pool Club and Bar at Anjuna as the fire extinguishers installed in the establishment were found to be inadequate, said divisional fire officer Shripad Gawas.

A notice was issued to Nitin Wadhwa, the partner of the club, he said in the order.

Campaigning at Chimbel village near Panaji in support of his party's Zilla Panchayat election candidate, Aam Aadmi Party leader Kejriwal said the nightclub fire at Arpora happened because of the "corruption of the Pramod Sawant-led state government."

"Why this fire incident happened? I read in the newspapers that the nightclub had no occupancy certificate, no building licence, no excise licence, no construction licence or trade licence. The entire club was illegal but still it was going on," he said.

"How could it go on? Couldn't Pramod Sawant or anyone else see it? I was told that hafta (bribe) was being paid," the former Delhi chief minister said.

A person can not work without bribing officials in the coastal state, Kejriwal said, alleging that officers, MLAs and even ministers are accepting bribes.
