Mangaluru: Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Ivan D'souza demanded detailed probe into death of prominent businessman and founder of Cafe Coffee Day group VG Siddhartha.

D’souza has also called for probe into IT Department and ED for harassing Siddhartha leading to his suicide according to a letter allegedly written by Siddhartha.

"According to the letter IT Department and ED harassed him which led him to take the extreme step. This needs to be probed," D'Souza said while speaking to reporters at party office in the city.

"A person who provided employment to more than 50,000 people was harassed and he eventually ended his life. This is a planned move to destroy businesses and to handover all the businesses into hands of few powerful businessmen like Ambani and Adani creating monopoly. More than 25 businessmen have left country because of bad decisions by Modi government," he added.
