MMA KVK Outstanding Manager Award for Unity Health Services chairperson Dr C P Habib Rahman
Mangaluru: Dr C P Habib Rahman, chairperson of the Unity Health Services Limited, has been selected for the ‘MMA KVK Outstanding Manager Award 2022’ by the Mangalore Management Association.
Dr Rahman is being honoured with the award in appreciation of his managerial contribution and social concerns in the medical field, Association president K Jayaraj B Rai said on Monday in a press meet.
The ceremony will take place at the grounds of SDM College in Mangaluru at 6 pm on December 7, Rai said and added that former president of the Association K Vishwanath Kamath started the award in 1997 to honour people with managerial achievements.
Association vice-president Dr K Janardana, treasurer Edward Coelho and executive member Dr Devaraj K were also present at the press meet.

Man arrested for for raping mute woman in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur (PTI): One person was arrested on the charge of raping a 30-year-old woman with speech impairment in Jamshedpur, a police officer said on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the Azadnagar police station area of the city, and a case in this regard was registered based on the statement of the victim's brother on Monday.
The victim had gone to fetch water from the premises of a company on Monday evening. When she did not return even after a considerable time, family members went out in search of her and caught the accused red-handed, police said.

The accused was a caretaker of the company.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Patamda) Bachandeo Kujjur said due to scarcity of water in the area, the victim used to fetch water from the premises of the company.
