Moodbidri: Arts department of Al-Furqan Women’s PU College of Moodbidri has achieved 100 percent results in II PU examinations.

Arts department’s Usra 553, Rifa Kausar 515; Science department’s Sinan 540, Rinaz Begum 526, Zainab Shafwa 510; and in Commerce Sania Begum have secured 516 marks. Of 37 students, six have passed with distinction, 20 with first class, and 11 in second class. The institution feels proud that three Science students who have secured highest marks – Sinan, Ayesha, and Kateeja Hamna—are Quran Hafizas.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar has passed an order suspending Member of the Legislative Council Abdul Jabbar from the primary membership of the party.

Shivakumar, who is also Deputy Chief Minister, has stated in his order that the MLC is to be suspended with immediate effect.

Jabbar is said to have been suspended for his alleged anti-party activities during the by-election to the Davanagere South Assembly constituency.
