Moodbidri: A 30-year-old farm worker died on Thursday after being electrocuted while he was reportedly plucking nuts from areca tree here at Moodbidri city.

The deceased has been identified as Keerthi (30).

Keerthi died while he reportedly was plucking areca nuts in the field when he accidentally touched high voltage electric wire which was passing beside the tree. As a result of the incident Keerthi died on the spot after falling from the tree.
