Mangaluru: The incidents of conflicts are on the rise in Dakshina Kannada district. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and Shobha Karandlaje are responsible for this. Both of them have brought a bad name to DK district, alleged KPCC vice president and media division chief Pro. Radhakrishna.
Addressing a press conference at the district Congress office here on Monday, he said that there was togetherness among the Hindu-Muslim communities in Dakshina Kannada District. But, there was an attempt to ruin it for the political reason. “MPs Nalin Kumar and Shobha Karandlaje incited youths by inculcating religious and emotional feelings and ruined the harmony,” he said.
In the past four years, PM Modi has deceived the people by 37 announcements, including Sabka Vikas and Achhe Din. No announcement has been implemented evenly. The Modi government has not been able to prevent oil and gas prices from rising. Union Minister Arun Jaitley, Nirmala Sitaraman and Nitin Gadkari are lying. Vijay Mallya has said that he had spoken to Minister Arun Jaitley when he was leaving the country. When two politicians meet each other, they speak regarding politics and not household matters.
Similarly, Lalit Modi has also stated that Minister Sushma Swaraj had helped him. What is the response of Modi Bhakts to all these developments? Prof. Radhakrishna asked.
Party leader Ibrahim Kodijal, corporator AC Vinayaraj, DCC secretaries Bharathi, Neerajpal and office secretary Nazir Bajal were present.

Bengaluru (PTI): The Karnataka High Court on Monday extended the interim relief given to Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh till March 9, in a case related to mimicking a character from the movie, 'Kantara Chapter-1', and allegedly mocking a deity.
The actor had approached the High Court seeking the quashing of the FIR against him for mimicking Rishab Shetty's role as 'Chavunda' deity in the movie.
While mimicking, Singh had called the deity a "ghost". The actor was asked to appear before the court in person on Monday.
Appearing on behalf of the actor, his counsel Sajjan Poovayya said Singh was stuck in London and was unable to reach Bengaluru due to the conflict in West Asia.
The complainant, who is a lawyer, alleged that his religious sentiments were hurt by calling the deity a ghost. On the directions of a local Court, the police registered a case against the actor.
The High Court on February 24 granted interim relief to the actor with directions to the police not to take any coercive steps against him.
