Bantwal: The Netravati River is flowing above the danger mark, Tumbe Dam wall has collapsed, and the dam’s Pump House is in jeopardy due to the heavy rainfall for last two days.
This collapse occurred around 4 am today. The Netravati River is flowing above the danger mark following the heavy rainfall throughout the Western Ghats and on the coast. Following this, the inflow to Shamboor AMR and Thumbe Vented Dam in the Netravati River has increased. Since seven meters of water has been gathered at Thumbe Dam, all the doors except two have been opened. The temporary arrangement is underway at the site where the barrier collapses.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
