New case filed against Moodbidri Police Inspector: Teacher accuses officer of rape
Belthangady: As a further development in the case that started with Moodbidri Police Inspector Sandesh PG being accused of sexually harassing a woman who visited the station to file a complaint, a rape case has been filed against the senior officer by Venur Police.
Based on a new complaint filed against the senior officer by a teacher, the Venur Police officers on Saturday registered an FIR against Inspector Sandesh.
The complainant is learnt to be a resident within the Venur Police Station jurisdiction and a head teacher at a private educational institution. She told the police on Saturday evening that Sandesh visited her between 2018 and 2023 and raped her.
Venur Police have registered a case against Inspector Sandesh based on her complaint and are investigating the matter.
The Moodbidri Police Inspector is currently under suspension, as a video clip revealing his misbehavior with the complainant went viral.

CBSE announces results for Class 10 board exams
New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.
"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.
The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
