Udupi: After rumors regarding holiday in schools and colleges started doing rounds on social media, District Administration on Monday evening confirmed that no holiday has been declared by administration.

Amidst heavy rain in Coastal Karnataka, several government schools had declared holiday on Tuesday, at various places. Similar rumors were doing rounds on social media regarding holiday for schools and colleges in Udupi District as well.

The administration however confirmed that no holiday has been declared and all the institutions will operate normally. According to the rumors on social media, Udupi was placed under 'red alert' which the administration again denied.

Bengaluru: Kannada actor Chetan Chandra has alleged that he was assaulted by unknown individuals. He made these allegations on his instagram live. The incident reportedly occurred while Chandra was traveling in a car near Kaggalipur.

In a live on his official Instagram account, Chetan Chandra narrated the experience, revealing that he was left bloodied as a result of the attack. According to his account, a group of individuals blocked his car, making him react against what he perceived as an attempted robbery. Subsequently, approximately 20 assailants allegedly attacked him, resulting in the violent assault.

Despite the severity of the incident, Chetan Chandra reassured his loved ones, including parents, wife and children, that they need not fear for his safety. He further disclosed that he sought assistance from the police, who advised him to prioritize seeking medical treatment.
