Pillion rider killed on the spot after crane hits bike from behind in Kundapur
Kundapur: A pillion rider of a bike died on the spot after the bike he was traveling in was hit by a crane from behind here Balkur in Kundapur Taluk on late Monday night.
The deceased pillion rider has been identified as Prashant Mogaveer, a resident of Honbadi in Kundapur.
According to the police, the incident took place when Prashant was riding toward Siddapur along with his friend Dinesh Poojary. Their bike was hit by a crane from behind.
Dinesh who was riding the bike also sustained injuries and it being treated at a local hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
The driver of the crane escaped from the accident spot after leaving his crane. A case in this regard has been registered at Kundapur Traffic Police Station.
