Mangaluru:Rohan Corporation, which has been providing trustworthy and high quality services in the field of real estate for 25 years, has taken up a residential complex project, 'High Crest', at Kadri Kambla Road in the city. Foundation stone for the building was laid today.
Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, State's Urban Development Minister UT Khader, Mayor Bhaskar K. Rev.F. Santosh Kamath and Rev.F. Vinod Lobo blessed the stone laying ceremony.
Speaking after inaugurating the stone laying ceremony and releasing the High Crest building's brochure, Minister UT Khader praised Rohan and said, "Rohan Monteiro is not only a disciplined builder, but also an ideal person.
After delivering his welcome address, Rohan Monteiro, managing director of Rohan Corporation, said, "We have over 3000 happy customers in the span of past 25 years in the real estate industry.
"As the real estate industry is recovering after being in loss for four to five years, we are constructing residential and commercial complexes according to the demands of the people. Since the RERA is pro-people, funds can be invested confidently," he said.
This 14-storied residential complex is coming up at Kadri Kambla Road that is close to school, different centers of faith, market, bus stand etc.
Another feature that sets this complex apart from others is the fact that individual floors of this complex will have only three flats each. The complex will have two bedroom flats with an area of 1,225 and 1,230 sq ft and three bedroom flats with an area of 1,695 sq ft. Centre spent Rs 76.13 lakh on print media ads for RSS centenary, reveals RTI
New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Culture allegedly spent Rs 76.13 lakh on print advertisements marking the 100-year celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), according to a Right to Information (RTI) reply.
The information was sought by RTI activist Ajay Basudev Bose, who filed an application seeking details on expenditure incurred by the ministry for advertisements commemorating the RSS centenary.
Bose shared a picture of the reply from the ministry on his official ‘X’ handle.
“It is informed that an amount of Rs 76,13,129 has been spent on advertisement given in various print media by the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the completion of 100 years of RSS,” the government’s reply stated.

Bose questioned the expenditure in the post X, “when Everyone knows RSS is Not Registered & Does not Pay any Tax is it justified to spend Tax Payers Money on such Private event??”
Reacting to the development, Karnataka’s IT-BT and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge also criticised the spending.
In a post on X, he asked why public money was being used for what he described as a “private ideological project.”

According to reports, the RSS describes itself as a volunteer-based organisation and has stated that it functions as a body of individuals rather than a registered entity.
Founded by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in 1925, the organisation is marking its centenary year beginning from Vijaydashami in 2025, with the milestone observed on October 2.
