15-year old school student dies in road mishap at Kadaba
Kadaba: A 15-year old student died in a tragic accident on Thursday morning when the bike he was travelling on as a pillion rider skidded on Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway-75 in Kadaba.
The deceased victim has been identified as Kiran (15), a ninth grade student of a private educational institution in Nelyadi.
Kiran was riding as a pillion rider on bike when the incident took place. He was rushed to a local hospital in Nelyadi where he was administered first aid for the critical injuries he sustained in the accident. He was then being taken to Mangaluru for further treatment when he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
A case has been registered at Puttur Traffic Police Station in this regard.

Yogish Goudar murder case: Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni, 16 others sentenced to life imprisonment

Bengaluru: A special court for people’s representatives has sentenced Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni and 16 others to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of BJP leader Yogish Goudar.
The verdict was delivered by judge Santhosh Gajanana Bhat. The court had earlier, on Wednesday, held all 17 accused guilty of murdering Goudar, while reserving the quantum of punishment.
On Friday, the court pronounced the sentence, awarding life imprisonment to all the convicted persons in the case.
Yogish Goudar, a BJP member from the Hebballi Zilla Panchayat constituency in Dharwad district, was murdered in 2016.
