Putttur: In an incident reported from Salmara in Puttur Taluk, a man who was on his way to mosque at 5:00 am on Tuesday, was attacked by unidentified miscreants with swords.

Hamza, a resident of Salmara, was on his way to Mosque on Tuesday morning on his bike when he was allegedly attacked by two unidentified miscreants who had parked their car near Ashiq Restaurant.

Hamza who managed to escape the attack reached Syedmaale mosque in the city and informed people about the incident. When the locals reached the spot of attack, the miscreants along with car had fled the scene.

A complaint in this regard was registered at Puttur Police Station after which the police team is investigating the matter and is also examining CCTV cameras in the locality.

New Delhi (PTI): At least 10 flights were cancelled and more than 270 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport due to fog and low visibility conditions on Tuesday.

An official said 6 arrivals and 4 departures have been cancelled for the day.

Over 270 flights have been delayed and the average delay time for departures is 29 minutes, as per information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.

"Visibility at the airport is improving; however, flight departures for certain destinations may experience delay," Delhi airport operator DIAL said in a post on X.

The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital handles around 1,300 flight movements daily.
