Karangalpadi: Raid on gambling den; 9 arrested
Mangaluru: The Managaluru East police conducted raid on a gambling den at a commercial complex at Karangalpadi commercial complex. They arrested nine persons and seized valuables worth Rs. 10.93 lakh.
The arrested have been identified as Ashok Shetty (49), a resident of Padukodi village, Anand (49) of Derebail Prashant Nagar, Rajshekhar Bend Raj (46), of Jappinimogaru, Tilak Raj (33) af Mulki Lingappayya forest, Sharat Kumar (37) of Derebail, Nilappa Bhimappa Mate (30), Sajid Ahmed (48) of Kulashekhar, Jivan Kumar (59) of Karangalpadi and Suraj Thimmappa Pujari (42).
The police have seized Rs. 68,140 cash, 11 mobile phones, 1 Baleno car, two Activa scooter, and one bike.

Israeli Air Force launches new wave of strikes over 30 sites in Iran: Reports
Tel Aviv: Israeli Air Force has carried out strikes on more than 30 targets across western and central Iran, reported Al Jazeera.
“Dozens of Air Force fighter jets struck, guided by Military Intelligence, and completed just a short while ago another wave of strikes to target the ballistic missile array and air defence systems of the Iranian regime in western and central Iran,” the news network reported, citing a statement from Israel’s military.
The military added that attacks will continue on air defence installations, missile sites, military headquarters, and other “regime targets” in Iran, the report said.
