Mangaluru: Raid on illegal sand stock yard, 80 loads of sand recovered
Operation under the guidance of Police Commissioner
Mangaluru, June 24: Acting on a tip-off, the rural police raided a private sand stock yard of Devara padavu Tiruvail in the taluk on Sunday and recovered total 80 loads of sand.
Based on the information, Mangaluru south sub-division assistant police commissioner and Mangaluru Rural police station inspector and staff jointly conducted the raid. Recovered sand was handed over to the Mines and Geology Department deputy director for next action. The raid was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner TR Suresh, DCP (law and order) Hanumantharaya and DCP (Traffic and Crime) Uma Prashanth.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
