Road accident in Pune claims life of Mangaluru-based dentist
Mangaluru: A Mangaluru-based dentist was reportedly killed in a road accident that occurred in Pune on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Dr Jisha John (27), a resident of Valencia in the city.
The accident is said to have occurred after a lorry crashed into the two-wheeler that was being ridden by Dr. Jisha.
The deceased dentist is survived by her husband, mother, father and a legion of friends and relatives.
The body of the deceased has been brought to Mangaluru, and arrangements have been made for the final viewing of the body at St Anthony’s Church in Jeppu around 2.30 pm on Wednesday, September 14, the sources close to the family informed.

Iran says Ayatollah Khamenei “steadfast, actively commanding field"
Tehran: A senior member of the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is being quoted by Iranian media amid conflicting reports about his status in the ongoing conflict with Israel and the United States.
According to Iranian media reports, the official said, “Ayatollah Khamenei is steadfast and resolute, and is actively commanding the field.” The remarks were made in response to widespread unverified reports circulated in some foreign media that claimed the supreme leader had been killed in recent US–Israeli strikes on Iran.
The statement counters reports suggesting a change in Iran’s leadership after the military escalation. There has been no independent confirmation of Khamenei’s status.
