School Boy Escapes With Minor Injuries After Being Run Over by School Bus in Surathkal
Surathkal: A school boy had a narrow escape after being run over by a school bus while crossing the road in Kulai, Surathkal on Wednesday. The incident, captured on a local CCTV camera, occurred when the boy fell under the bus while attempting to cross the road.
The boy, a student of a private English medium school near Surathkal, was dropped off in front of his house by the bus. As he crossed the road from the front of the bus, the driver, noticing the danger, stopped the bus. However, the boy fell into the path of the bus and was run over. Fortunately, another student on the scene shouted, alerting the driver who immediately stopped the bus.

The boy sustained minor injuries and is reported to be safe. A case has been registered against the bus driver at the Surathkal police station in connection with the incident.

5.2-magnitude quake jolts Manipur
Imphal/Shillong (PTI): Manipur was struck by an earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The quake occurred at 5.59 am with its epicentre located in Kamjong district, they added.
Tremors were felt in neighbouring Ukhrul district and state capital Imphal, and even Meghalaya but no casualty or damage has been reported so far.
