Shiroor Mutt seer Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji is no more
Udupi: Shiroor Mutt seer Lakshmivara Tirtha Swamiji passed away on Thursday morning at Manipal KMC Hospital. He was 66.
KMC doctors announced that the Swamiji, who was admitted to Manipal’s KMC Hospital following a brief illness on Wednesday, did not respond to treatment and breathed his last on Thursday morning.
The Swamiji was rushed to hospital after he complained of vomiting and abdominal pain after a programme in the Shiroor Mutt on Monday. He was admitted into the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital on Wednesday morning.

“US will cut trade with Spain,” says Trump
Washington DC: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday stated that the country plans to “cut-off” all trade ties with Spain, Al Jazeera reported.
The remarks reportedly came after the European Country allegedly refused to let the US military use its bases for missions tied to strikes on Iran
Speaking during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Trump criticised Spain’s decision.
Trump said Spain “has been terrible.”
Meanwhile, he also criticised the United Kingdom for similar decisions.
The President also said he had instructed US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to “cut off all dealings” with Spain.
“We’re going to cut off all trade with Spain. We don’t want anything to do with Spain,” he added.
