Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U T Khader voted with his wife Lamees Khader and daughter Hawwa Naseema in the morning at Ranthadka Higher Primary School in Jaradagudde near Boliyar in Mangaluru.

Speaking to reporters later, Khader said that “Vote is our right. Every eligible voter must do his duty by voting without any apathy. Everyone has an equal opportunity in voting: it’s a single vote for a rich man and the same for a poor. So everyone must execute this constitutional right to equality”.

Referring to the common complaint about city people not voting in enough numbers despite the first preference given to them in development, U T Khader requested all city dwellers to participate enthusiastically in voting.

Khader’s personal assistant Muhammad Libzath, Congress leader Jabbar Boliyar and others were present.
