Mangaluru: Fatima Fazeela, a student of St Agnes College, has alleged that she had been ousted by the college for wearing a scarf in the classroom.
Speaking at a press meet held at Campus Front of India's office at State Bank here on Wednesday, Fazeela said, "I have completed the first PUC in St. Agnes College with distinction, The board of directors refused to give me admission in the second PUC on the pretext of wearing a scarf. Also, the college issued me the transfer certificate," Fazeela alleged.
"Such a stand of college is absolutely condemnable. A complaint will be lodged at the State High Court. We will strive against the unconstitutional rules of the college board, and against the silence of the education department and the minister," she added.
