Talapady: Illegal sand transportation; 6 detained

Mangaluru: The Konaje police have arrested six persons in connection with illegally transporting sand and seized six trucks and sand.

 The operation was carried out at 3:30 am on November 25 and 26. The Konaje police have seized six lorries carrying sand illegally at Talapadi Tolgate in Ullal police station limits.

 The total value of the seized assets has been estimated to be worth Rs 1.25 crore.

 AC Rama Rao of Mangalore South sub-division, Konaje police inspector Ravi Naik, constables Ashok Kumar, and driver Jnyanaprakash participated in the operation.
