Terror strike on CRPF jawans: PFI expresses shock, joins grief of nation
Mangaluru: Popular Front of India chairman E Abubacker has expressed shock over the terror strike on CRPF jawans at Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, killing 37 personnel.
He conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved families of the jawans. “We have lost our brave soldiers in the attack, which is strongly condemnable”, he said.
“There is an unprecedented increase in the number of violent incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in recent past. There was a serious security lapses in spite of intelligence inputs in this attack”, he said.
Instead of taking political advantage for the forthcoming elections out of this incident, the government should investigate the incident properly. Measures should be taken to check the repetition of similar casualties in future, he demanded reminding the government to take measures to find a permanent solution to Kashmir issue.

Iran’s Fars news agency reports Khamenei’s daughter, grandson killed in strikes
Tehran: Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency is reporting that several close family members of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have been killed in the recent joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
According to Fars, the supreme leader’s daughter, son-in-law and grandson were killed in the attacks. The agency, which is aligned with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), cited sources close to Tehran’s leadership for the information.
This report follows wide-ranging claims and counter-claims about the impact of the strikes on Iran’s top leadership. Israeli and US officials have suggested that Khamenei himself was killed, though Tehran has repeatedly denied those claims and described them as psychological warfare.
There has been no official confirmation from Iranian authorities regarding the deaths of Khamenei’s family members, and independent verification of the reports is still lacking.
