Mangaluru: A bank employee is being hailed by people on various platforms across social media platforms for his wonderful gesture amidst coronavirus crisis.
The incident which is being lauded by people is wherein, the pension amount of a 102-year-old woman, a customer of Hampankatta Canara Bank in Mangaluru, was credited into her bank account. The woman however, owing to her health issues and lockdown restrictions in the city due to spread of coronavirus, was unable to visit the bank and withdraw the amount.
Realizing her need of withdrawing the amount, the bank officer Pushparaja Hegde, along with other staffs, visited the woman at her house and handed over the pension amount in cash to her.
The incident has caught eyes of several people across platforms who are lauding the efforts of bank staff.

Bengaluru: Customs officials have seized 5.70 kg of worth Rs 1.99 crore from a passenger at Kempegowda International Airport in Devanahalli.
The seizure was made on April 18 during a check at Terminal-2 after the passenger arrived from Bangkok. Officials found the contraband concealed inside the luggage during inspection.
The passenger has been arrested and the drugs have been taken into custody. A case has been registered at the Kempegowda International Airport Police Station, customs officials said.
