Mangaluru: Govind Karajol, Karnataka Deputy CM, on Sunday triggered controversy when he said those killed in Mangaluru Police firing incident on December 19 were not innocent and were anti-nationals and violators of law.
Speaking at Sambra Airport, Karajol noted that the Congress party has been making allegations against the BJP and State government for killing innocent by using police force. He added “The allegations are not true we did not kill any innocents, and the two who died in police firing were not innocents they were anti-nationals and were violating the law. We had to take control over them”.
Karajol also added that the cabinet expansion of CM Yediyurappa is most likely to be held next week. He also confirmed the disqualified MLAs who contested from BJP in by-election and won in their respective constituencies will be included in the cabinet.

Ahmedabad (PTI): Shubman Gill led from the front with a classy 86 as Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets in an Indian Premier League match here on Friday.
Earlier, KKR all-rounder Cameron Green produced a fighting 79 off 55 balls to lift his side to 180 all out. In reply, Gill anchored the chase with a composed 86 off 50 deliveries as GT crossed the line in 19.4 overs.
The win marked GT's third successive victory after opening with two losses, while KKR's search for their first win of the season continues.
