Mangaluru: (Press Release) In view of the seriousness of stranded NRI Kannadigas in UAE due to the prevailing COVID 19 Lock Down, and to support the thousands of Stranded NRI Kannadigas in UAE who are desperate to fly India, The prestigious Thumbay Group and Bearys Cultural   Forum (BCF ) Trust, Mangalore is arranging few flights to Mangalore from UAE.

The First COVID19 Repatriation flight on behalf of Thumbay-BCF Repatriation Program, departed from Ras Al Khaima to Mangalore on 21st July 2020. The flight was fully occupied with 186 passengers. There were many Sick and elderly people, some suffering from Heart-related health issues, diabetics, and other health problems. There were few pregnant ladies among the passengers. Many passengers were effected by problems like Visa issues, lack of Job, etc. There were also many children among the passengers.

This flight was conducted purely on a charitable basis. All necessary steps and precautions were taken so that the passengers will have a safe, hassle-free, and comfortable journey. The Thumbay Group has provided their fleet of comfortable busses free of charge to transport the Passengers from Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman to Ras Al Khaima Airport. All passengers were provided with Free Meal, Snacks, and soft drinks. Apart from that, PPE Kit, Face Shields, etc were freely distributed to all passengers.

On behalf of Milano Optics Group and Maxcare, free Gift Hampers were distributed to selected passengers.

This repatriation mission was conducted under the able leadership of Dr. Thumbay Moideen, the Founder President of Thumbay Group and Founder Patron of BCF and Dr. B K Yusuf, President of BCF. Dr. Kaup Mohammed, Gen. Secretary of BCF was instrumental in carrying out all necessary documental procedures and other necessary arrangements. Farhad and Dr .of Thumbay Group provided all necessary supports. All the BCF Vice presidents and other assigned BCF office bearers extended their valuable support in this program.

BCF and Thumbay group delegates consisting of Dr. B K Yusuf-President BCF, Dr. Kaup Mohammed-Gen.SEcretory, BCF, Presidents- M E Moolur,   Abdul Lathif Mulky, Afeeq Husain, Ameerudin S I, and Office bearers-Mr Salim Altat, Suleman Moolur, Me Yaqub Dewa, Siyaz Suratkal, Thumbay Group’s representatives Farhad, Engr. Fawaz and others were present at the airport to send off the passengers.

BCF president extending a cordial sendoff to all passengers, said it was indeed a matter of great pleasure that Thumbay-BCF Chartered flight has been successfully conducted providing a great deal of relief to the stranded Kannadigas in UAE.  He admired the Humanitarian Concern and Magnanimity of the Founding President of Thumbay Group Dr. Thumbay Moideen, who along with BCF is serving the poor needy people of India in various fields and this particular repatriation program is indeed a very important one. He thanked Thumbay Group and its Founder President Dr. Thumbay Moideen for giving every support to BCF in its all social service activities.

Dr. Kaup Mohammed, Gen Secretary of BCF, in his speech said that it is a matter of great pleasure and satisfaction that the much-awaited Thumbay BCF Repatriation flight has been conducted with complete success. He said the said flight is 100 % COVID FREE and all the arrangements are made to be sure that all passengers enjoy a hassle-free journey. He thanked the Thumbay Group Founder President Dr. Thumbay Moideen for his valuable support to this program. He also thanked the staff of Thumbay, particularly Farhad, Engr. Farwaz and Vighnesh for their tireless effort to make this repatriation an extremely successful. He also thanked all social organizations including Bhatkal Jamath, BCCI, BWF, KCF, DKSC, Kodagu Kannadigas, Kannadiga Help Line, Dubai Konkans, KSS,   for their support.  He specially thanked Syed Hassan Razeen, the owner of ARISTOCRAT Travels for his strategic and valuable support in the ticketing, boarding, and other processes.

Many social organizations including KCF, Bhatkal Jamath, Bhatkal association, BCCI, BWF, DKSC, KNRI, Kannadiga Help Line, KDKGS-UAE, Dubai Konkans, KSS, and Dubai Kannadigas, etc. provided valuable support in this program.

Leaders and representatives of these organizations –Nizami, Yusuf Barmavar, Sarfaraz Jukaku, Mohammed Ali Uchil, B M Basher, Iqbal Haji Hejmadi, Joseph Mathais, Harish Kodi and many others attended the farewell event of the passengers at RAK air Port.

ARISTO TRAVELS was the assigned Travelling agency firm to arrange the ticketing procedures. Syed Hassan Razin, the managing Director of ARISTO TRAVELS was very helpful to take care of all these ticketing works under his supervision.

 On arrival at Mangalore, under the leadership of Mumtaz Ali, patron of BCF, a delegate of leaders and distinguished personalities of Mangalore consisting of Moidin Bava-former MLA, U T Ifthikhar, SMR Rashid-President of BCCI central committee and many more welcomed the passengers.  All passengers were provided with free meals, snacks, and soft drinks. Then they were lead to the Hotels where they have been registered for Quarantine.

This Repatriation program was conducted with the utmost care and vigil to make sure that the passengers will not have any problems throughout their, right from RAK airport till their Quarantine stay. All the required permissions, all necessary documents, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Civil Aviation Department, Airport  Authorities, the District, State, and Central government departments, Consulate General of India in UAE, etc, and hence this repatriation journey was completely hassled free and comfortable.

Thumbay-BCF is conducting one more Flight on 24th July from RAK to Mangalore and is planning few more such repatriation flights very soon.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation will operate 1000 additional special services in view of the Christmas festival.

In addition to the existing schedule, the special services will run on 19.12.2025, 20.12.2025 and 24.12.2025. Further, special buses will be operated from various places of intra & Interstate places to Bengaluru on 26.12.2025 & 28.12.2025.

Special buses will be exclusively operated from Bengaluru Kempegowda Bus Station to Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Shringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubbali, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places.

Special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will be exclusively operated towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, Madikeri.

The corporation has also announced a discount of 5 per cent on the fare if four or more passengers book tickets under a single reservation. A discount of 10 per cent will be extended on return journey tickets if onward and return tickets are booked simultaneously.

In addition to the above, special buses will be operated from all Taluk/District Bus Stands in the jurisdiction of KSRTC based on the traffic needs.
