Mangaluru: Tulu Sahitya Academy’s President, Dayanand Kathalsar sustained injuries in an accident that occurred during the early hours of Saturday when his car and a lorry transporting fish collided near Nanthoor.

According to sources in the police, on Saturday morning around 5.15 am, Dayanand Kathalsar was travelling in his car and heading towards Nanthoor from Bikarnakatte when a lorry transporting fish, coming from the opposite direction collided with his vehicle, resulting in the accident. He is said to have sustained minor injuries and later admitted to the hospital to receive treatment.

The police from Mangaluru East have registered a case in this regard and an investigation is underway.
