Two arrested while smuggling 49 kg Ganja in container truck in Udupi
Udupi: District Crime Information Bureau (DCIB) police on Saturday arrested two people who were reportedly selling Ganja drugs in a container truck. The police team has also seized 49 kg of Ganja drugs from the arrested accused.
The arrested accused have been identified as Karutapandi (30) a resident of Tamilnadu and Vanu Haldar (30), a resident of West Bengal.
According to the reports, the truck that was coming from Uttar Pradesh was intercepted by the police near Brahmavar Taluk for inspection. The team then recovered 49kg of Ganja drugs from the drug that were stuffed into bamboo sticks and were being illegally smuggled.
DCIB Inspector Manjappa led the operation and ASI Ravichandra, Santosh Kunder, Rama Hegde, Dayanand, Raj Kumar, Chandra Shetty, Suresh, Raghuvendra and Shivanand were part of the police team.

For Royals, local hero Riyan Parag scored 48 off 34 balls on a difficult track while Punjab skipper Sam Curran (2/24 in 3 overs), Harshal Patel (2/28 in 4 overs), Nathan Ellis (1/24 in 4 overs) and Rahul Chahar (2/26 in 4 overs) were all on target.
