Udupi: Car collides; Tempo driver killed
Three persons severely injured
Udupi: A tempo driver killed and three others injured when a car hit the tempo near Santhekatte on national highway 66 on Saturday morning. The diseased has been identified as Sundar Nayak.
According to locals, the incident occurred when the car driver lost control over the vehicle. Following which the car moving from Udupi to kundapur toppled and hit the tempo that was coming from opposite direction. The tempo driver succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.
The Udupi police, who visited the spot, said that the car was completely damaged and three persons, who were traveling in the car, have sustained serious injuries. They have been admitted to Manipal Hospital.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
