Udupi: Car collides with Auto-rickshaw commuting school students; 7 students injured
Udupi: Seven students of two different schools of the city sustained injuries after the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in collided with a car, early on Friday morning here on Santekatte service road near NH 66 in Udupi.
According to the reports the incident took place when a Maruti Ritz car was trying to overtake another vehicle when it collided with the auto coming from the opposite direction.
The students were on their way to school on auto when the incident took place.
The seven students along with auto-driver John who sustained injuries were rushed to a Manipal hospital where they are receiving treatment.
As a result of accident, the auto-rickshaw was completely damaged.
Udupi traffic police rushed to the spot and registered a case.
