Udupi: Reigning Pontiff of Puthige Math, Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji tests positive for COVID-19
Udupi: Reigning Pontiff of one of the Ashta Mathas of Udupi, Puthige, Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji has tested positive for the Coronavirus. He was on Tuesday morning admitted to KMC Hospital in Manipal.
Sources close to Swaji have said that he was in a good state of health condition.
According to the details available, Swamiji had been to Bengaluru two weeks back. He then complained of cold and fever a few days back following which his swab samples were sent for COVID-19 testing. The reports returned as positive for the virus on Monday evening.
His followers have since been offering special prayers at the Math for his speedy recovery.

Body of man in Kalaburagi found hanging in his field; cause of death unknown
Kalaburagi: A man was found dead, with his body seen hanging, in his own field in Hulasaguda village of Kalagi taluk on Saturday morning. The cause for death is unknown as yet.
The deceased, identified as Revanasiddhappa Shettappa (26), is learned to have been a resident of Hulasaguda village.
Ratkal Police Sub-inspector Sheela Devi reportedly visited the spot where the man’s body was found and inspected it.
Police have registered a case in this regard and are probing the death of the Shettappa.
