Udupi: Sindhu B takes over as ZP CEO
Udupi, November 20: Sindhu B Roopesh, 2011 batch IAS officer, took over the charge as the Udupi Zilla Panchayat CEO here on Tuesday.
She has got 17th All India rank in the IAS and got the first place in the state candidates. Hailed from Mysuru, Sindhu has completed BE from NIE of Mysuru and worked for two years in a software company in Bengaluru. After resigning from her software job, she has completed her civil service exam with 17th rank.
She was working as the deputy secretary at the Budget and Resources Division of the Finance Department in Bengaluru. Now the government has appointed her as the ZP CEO in place of Shivanand Kapasi. On Tuesday, she took over the charge as the CEO. Udupi district Minister Dr Jayamala wished the new ZP CEO at the circuit house.

UAE issues fresh emergency alert, says situation currently safe
Dubai/Abu Dhabi: Residents and visitors across the United Arab Emirates received a fresh emergency alert on their mobile phones stating that the situation in the country is currently safe.
The message, issued by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), thanked people for their cooperation and reassured them that conditions were stable.
“Thank you for your cooperation. We reassure you that the situation is currently safe. You may resume your normal activities while continuing to remain cautious and take the necessary precautions, and to follow official instructions. (MOI),” the alert read.
The notification was sent in both Arabic and English through the country’s emergency alert system.
The advisory comes after earlier alerts warning of potential missile threats amid rising regional tensions. Authorities have urged the public to stay cautious and follow official guidance.
