Ujire: 14-year-old student dies by suicide
Ujire: In a tragic incident, a 14-year-old boy reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Perla on Thursday. It has been learnt that the boy was studying in 8th grade.
The deceased student has been identified as Yakshith(14), son of Yogeesh and Reshma, residents of Perla in Ujire village, informed the Police.

Reportedly, the boy hanged himself using his mother’s saree on a bamboo pole, while no one was in the house.
After getting information, Belthangady Police reached the spot, conducted an investigation and subsequently registered a case in connection with the incident.

Yatish N. assumes office as new SP of Dakshina Kannada district
Mangaluru: Yatish N. has officially taken charge as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Dakshina Kannada (DK) district on Thursday.
The state government issued an order on Wednesday, transferring Yatish N., who previously served as the SP of Mandya, to his new post in DK district. This move follows the transfer of the former district SP, Rishyant C.B.
