Unidentified one-day-old child found abandoned on roadside in Mangaluru
Ullal: A day-old child was found, apparently discarded, beside a road in Thokkottu near here on Thursday, much to the shock of the locals.
The matter came to the notice of Amar, who heard the sound of the baby crying near his house on Ambika Road in Kapikad, Thokkottu, on Thursday. When he searched around his house, he found the child wrapped in white cloth and placed below a car parked nearby, said sources.
He inquired with his neighbours, none of whom could identify the baby. Amar’s family treated the child, before handing it over to the District Wenlock Hospital authorities.
Amar also informed Ullal Police about the matter. The Ullal Police, who registered a case in this regard, are searching for clues on the identity of the child.
The baby is still under the care of the Wenlock Hospital staff members, it is learned.

The verified footage shows an Iranian drone hitting a tower in Manama.
A loud explosion is heard at the moment of impact, followed by a large fire and thick plumes of smoke billowing from the building.
