Mangaluru: Senior Sub-Editor of Vartha Bharati Shamsuddin Enmuru has bagged the late B.G. Mohandas Award for Best Report on Digital Media for the year 2022. The award is presented collaboratively by Gulfkannada.com and Nirat Sahitya Sampad in honor of senior journalist BG Mohan Das.

Shamsuddin will be awarded for his report headlined ‘Koraguttiruva Koragara Baduku’ (The miseries of Koraga Community)  that was published on the Vartha Bharati website. He will be awarded cash rupees 5000/- and a certificate.

The award ceremony will be held on September 4 at Kannada Bhavan here in the city’s BC road.

Shamsuddin works as a Senior Sub-Editor at Vartha Bharati and is the son of MK Yusuf of Sullia in Dakshina Kannada district.
