Mangaluru: Popular Front of India, State President Muhammad Saqib on Wednesday came down heavily on Dr. Harsha PS, the underfire Police Commissioner of Mangaluru and added that he was not a medical doctor but was a doctor of fabricating facts and creating fake videos to manipulate the facts of incidents.
He was speaking at the anti-CAA Protest in Mangaluru on Wednesday wherein nearly one lakh people participated and registered their protest against CAA, NRC and NPR introduced by Prime Minister Modi led BJP Government.
Sakib added that the Police officers including Police Commissioner Harsha and Inspector Shantaram Kundar along with others will face legal consequence for the injustice they have done to the people of Mangaluru and to the families of Nousheen and Abdul Jaleel who were killed in Police firing on December 19.
He also questioned Commissioner’s move to clamp prohibitory orders under section 144 a day before the protest was planned. He also alleged that the Commissioner has manipulated facts and has presented fabricated videos and facts after the incident to give it other colors.
“What kind of a Doctor is he? He is not a medical Doctor. He is the doctor of fabricating facts and videos” Saqib added.
“We will show these officers that Muslim lives matter. Muslim lives are not as cheap as they have shown by killing to people on December 19. We will drag them to the court and show them how valuable our lives are.” Saqib said.
Saqib also clarified that nobody in the Muslim community will submit any document during NRC or NPR and will not consider requests from anybody in this regard even if the Imam of Delhi’s Jama Masjid urges them to submit documents during NPR.
Pointing that Muslims are made scapegoat as terrorists after every terror act in the country Saqib blamed RSS and its affiliates for spreading terrorism and alleged that RSS was behind all the terror activities in the country.

Bengaluru (PTI): Power bills for consumers under the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) will go up from May 1, following an order issued by the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) on Friday.
The hike comes after KERC allowed the BESCOM to recover a revenue deficit of Rs 2,068 crore incurred in 2024-25, from the consumers.
As a result, for every unit of electricity consumed in 2024-25, the customers will be charged an additional 56 paise, it said.
"BESCOM shall calculate, for each of the active consumers of FY2024-25 the amount to be recovered based on their actual energy consumption during FY2024-25. Such amount shall be recovered during FY 2026-27 in equal monthly instalments, to be called as 'FY25 True up Charges', commencing from the first meter reading date falling on or after 1 May 2026 and concluding with the reading date ending on 30 April 2027," the order said.
"It is further ordered that BESCOM shall maintain a separate head of account, allocated for the purpose, to record the adjustment of the said amount to ensure full recovery of the deficit," it added.
Similarly Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) has also recorded a revenue deficit of Rs 121.71 crore and can collect an additional 15 paisa per unit for consumption in 2024-25, official sources said.
