Woman raped repeatedly at Chokkadi; one accused arrested
Sulya: A woman was repeatedly raped at Chokkadi in Bellare police station limits on Monday evening.
The police have arrested one person in connection with the case and search is on for other two accused.
According to the police complaint filed at Ballare police station, the incident took place when the victim was returning from Milk Producers Federation after giving milk. Three persons including an autorickshaw driver took the woman to a farm on the pretext of giving her lift and raped her.
The police, who are investigating the case, have arrested an accused and search is on for other two accused.

US Consulate in Dubai reportedly attacked
Dubai: Smoke was seen rising from an area near the United States Consulate in Dubai, according to witness accounts cited by Reuters.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the extent of damage or whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Earlier, the US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, was also attacked. Authorities reported damage to the premises, but no casualties were recorded.
The developments come amid heightened tensions in the region, with Iran continuing to target US interests in the Middle East following deadly attacks launched on Saturday by Israel and the United States.
