Bantwal: In an anticlimax of sorts for people indulging in moral policing here, a young lady, who had been taken to task for traveling with a young man from a different religion, reportedly snapped back at the activists.
The incident took place in a private transport bus from Mangaluru to Bengaluru, when it reached Dasakodi near Kalladka in Bantwal taluk on Thursday.
The video of the young lady countering the jeers of the Sangh Parivar members has also gone viral on social media.
The Sangh Parivar members stopped the bus in Dasakodi and reportedly harassed the youngsters belonging to different religions for traveling together. This led to a verbal tussle between the Sangh Parivar members and the passengers in the bus, with the young lady daringly retorting to the words of the Sangh Parivar members, said sources.
On learning of the incident, the local police officers rushed to Dasakodi and took the Sangh Parivar activists and the youngsters to the police station. After speaking to both parties, the police also called up the parents of the youngsters and sent the latter home with their family members.
