Shivamogga: In an incident reported from Haraguvalli in Shikaripura taluk of the district, a one-and-a-half year old child, Nandish, died of suffocation after swallowing the cap of a juice bottle.
The deceased child, Nandish, who was the son of Vedamurthy Gangadharaiah, was playing with the bottle at home when he accidentally swallowed the cap of the bottle. The cap got caught in his throat, as a result of which, Nandish developed breathing problems.

His parents took him to hospital immediately, but the child is reported to have been declared dead by the medical experts at the hospital, when they reached there.
