28-year-old mother of 11-month-old daughter commits suicide in Madikeri
Madikeri: A 28-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at home in a new residential layout here on Tuesday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Bhoomika, daughter of Ravindra.
She was married two years ago and has an 11-month-old daughter.
Madikeri Town Police have filed a case and are investigating the matter.

Lady passenger fined Rs 500 for violating Bengaluru Metro rules by eating in train
Bengaluru: A lady passenger on Namma Metro, who was caught on camera eating while traveling on the train on Saturday, was fined Rs 500 by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for violation of Metro rules.
In a press release issued on Monday, BMRCL has said that the woman, a regular Metro passenger, was traveling from Madavara to Magadi Road on Saturday. Her act of violation of rules was captured on camera by a co-passenger, who also uploaded the video clip on social media. The Metro security staff, who checked the clip, fined the woman Rs 500 when she entered the Madavara Metro Station on Monday.
BMRCL has clarified that the fine was imposed to emphasize its commitment to maintain cleanliness in the trains. It has stressed on the importance of adhering to the rules to ensure comfort of travel and safety for all passengers as the Metro trains are shared space.
