Bengaluru: The results of the 2nd PUC Examination-1, held from March 1 to March 20, were announced today (April 8).

Addressing a press conference at the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board office, Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa stated that Sanjana Bai secured the top rank in the Arts stream. In the overall district-wise rankings, Udupi stood first, Dakshina Kannada came second, while Yadgir was ranked last.

Bengaluru: A lady passenger on Namma Metro, who was caught on camera eating while traveling on the train on Saturday, was fined Rs 500 by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for violation of Metro rules.

In a press release issued on Monday, BMRCL has said that the woman, a regular Metro passenger, was traveling from Madavara to Magadi Road on Saturday. Her act of violation of rules was captured on camera by a co-passenger, who also uploaded the video clip on social media. The Metro security staff, who checked the clip, fined the woman Rs 500 when she entered the Madavara Metro Station on Monday.

BMRCL has clarified that the fine was imposed to emphasize its commitment to maintain cleanliness in the trains. It has stressed on the importance of adhering to the rules to ensure comfort of travel and safety for all passengers as the Metro trains are shared space.
