Bengaluru: RCB fans who were hoping for a good show of batting and bowling by their team in the second qualifier of the IPL 2022 were left heartbroken after the RR’s opening duo of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal unsettled the RCB bowlers in the powerplay of second innings while chasing 158.

Both Buttler and Jaiswal began well and started hitting the ball to the boundary from the word go and made over 60 runs in the first six overs of their innings effectively taking the game away from RCB.

Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj who conceded the most runs in the powerplay, was soon abused and blamed by the RCB fans on his social media handles even before the match yielded any results.

Fans abused Siraj by commenting on his Instagram posts using filthy language. Some of the fans even dragged the late father of Siraj into their abuses while others abused his mother and other family members. Some of the users also called on Siraj to retire from the cricket after his poor performances.

Siraj has had a rather forgettable outing this season. On Friday during the second qualifier of the season against RR, Siraj had conceded 31 runs in two overs by the end of eighth over of the second innings.

Earlier, RCB had scored 157-8 in their 20 overs with Rajat Patidar scoring 42-ball 58. The winner of the contest between RCB and RR will face Gujarat Titans in the final of the season on May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Patna (PTI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday announced that the state government would soon constitute a 'Safai Karmachari Commission' for the socio-economic upliftment of sanitation workers.

He announced the decision in a post on X.

"I am pleased to inform that I have directed the department to constitute the Bihar State Safai Karmachari Commission to ensure the protection, welfare, rehabilitation, social upliftment, grievance redressal, and monitoring of various welfare schemes for the rights and interests of sanitation workers in Bihar," the chief minister said.

This commission will provide suggestions related to the interests of sanitation workers, advise the government on the protection of their rights, and take appropriate action to review and implement welfare schemes related to those engaged in sanitation work, he added.

"The Bihar State Safai Karmachari Commission will consist of one chairperson, one vice-chairperson, and five members, including one woman/transgender. This commission will play a significant role in integrating the deprived sections of society engaged in sanitation work into the mainstream and contributing to their social and economic development," Kumar added.
